Retro

We love consoles, long-forgotten games and timeless classics. Whether Nintendo, Atari, or arcade, video game history is our passion.

Case Modding

Throwing away broken consoles? Never! We use discarded cases to give consoles a new life as emulation PCs. We build old console parts into living room-ready devices or add new features as case mods.

Emulation

Play classics with enhanced graphics on PC, play games on consoles they weren’t intended for, digitizing our own game collection, and use it with a self-built emulator console. We show you how it’s done in our projects.

Want to know more about the origins of our blog? We’d love to tell you!

Here you can find our “Hello World”

Logos as tribute

To demonstrate our connection to video games and their creators, we’re not just displaying a logo, but with every page visit, “Video Game Saturday” appears in the form of a different classic. This is our way of saying thank you. Thank you for the many hours of fun and entertainment.

We’ll gradually add more creations, always with information about the original game.

Enjoy!

Cross-platform

We haven’t committed to a specific video game platform. We like them all :)

  • All articles are tagged so you can filter by your favorite console.
  • Articles will cover all consoles in a variety of ways.
  • Gaming is viewed as a whole here. Mods, PCs, programming, hacking, etc. are also covered.
  • There’s a category for every taste.

Who we are

We are Schauben and Enton – father and son. We’re not just connected by our genes, but also by our great love of video games and technology. We indulge in our hobby of gaming and crafting especially every Saturday – our VIDEO GAME SATURDAY.

Want to learn more about us, what we do, and who we are?

Then…

  • passionate gamers

It must be our genes. Even our (great-)grandfather loved his Game Boy, and our DNA is also fully programmed for video games. Whenever we can, we devote ourselves to the topic of video games. If only it were always Saturday…

  • creative minds

We’re bursting with creativity and would love to share it with you. Let our crafts and programming experiments entertain and inspire you.

  • fascinated by Retro

Sure, the new blockbuster games are awesome and a ton of fun. BUT the old classics simply have their charm and didn’t need hundreds of millions of euros and actors to be a hit. And it’s precisely this simplicity that makes them so special: pure gaming fun without unnecessary bling.

  • Nintendo Addicted

We LOVE Nintendo and anything even remotely related to it. Sure, we love video games in general, but Nintendo has had a particularly strong impact on us. Charming characters, loving design, consistently high quality, and, above all, fun together as a family.

unsere Lieblingsprojekte
