Angry Birds
Angry Birds is a series of artillery-based video games developed by the Finnish developer Rovio Entertainment Ltd., the first installment of which was released in December 2009. The games are available for numerous operating systems and device platforms.
Gameplay
The player takes control of a group of birds trying to retrieve their eggs stolen by pigs. In each level, the goal is to use a slingshot to shoot the birds at the pigs’ wooden, stone, and ice burrows. Points are awarded for each destroyed object. The primary goal of each level is to destroy all the pigs. Upon completing a level, up to three stars are awarded depending on the score achieved. Collecting three stars in each level is an optional goal. As the game progresses, new birds with unique characteristics are unlocked. The type, number, and order of the birds are predetermined for each level. Each level can be replayed as many times as required. The levels are grouped thematically into episodes, with each episode divided into two to three chapters.
